Am I the only one who has been seeing this name literally everywhere? Lupita is a Kenyan actress who has been receiving a lot of recognition and accolades for her "amazing performance" in the recently released movie "12 years a slave" (2013).
And for her role in the movie, she has been nominated for the Golden Globe, Academy award, Screen Actors Guild, BAFTA, and has won the Critic Choice Awards, New Hollywood Award. Wow! Amazing stuff, in so short a period of time. Also, the fact that she is "black and proud", has also endeared her to many.
I NEED to see the movie. If you have, what are your thoughts on it? If you have not, I think you have to see it, with all the great reviews I have been reading about it.
So, I decided to also check out pictures of her to see her "sense of style", as I have been reading nice reviews on her fashion sense. And yes, Lupita "gets it". Werk (sic) it girl!

I love how colours compliment her skin-tone. She definitely is becoming someone to watch out for on the red carpet. And who knows? she might as well become a style icon.
